With the over use today of the word connection or connectivity, it in fact cannot be stressed enough how imporntant it is in a recordind studio. Though knowing the names of the "connectors" was something I already had, what was more importnat is understanding how and what they connect and why. I wont go on but my mentor and I walked all the signal flow from starting connectors and mikes to the patchbay board and everwhere they all went to and from in the studio. Knowing your signal flow, why it needs to flow and even more important knowing how to control it at every point in a Old School way or a DAW are equally important. I cannot stress this enough if you're actually reading this and are of the generation where woriking from a DAW in a computer or lap top has been your introduction to recording. This was a game changer day for me and something i have decided to really spend a lot more time on out side on my owm as well as every chance I can get to wire up the recording sessons..
