What a crazy month July has been for me. now that my studies at Recording Connection have started to kick in, im really getting eager to get to work. i have this new fire lit beneath me that i want to show off to everyone! i've had the chance to work a remix that my mentor threw my way, and after showing the client my rough draft, i thought to myself, rejection is not inevitable, it's indecisive. becuase you could make a song or create an orignal work of art, and one person may love it and pay through the nose to get tehir hands on it, while someone else may hate it entirely. its all about rubbing shoulders with the right person that will help rejection make up it's mind in your favor.
aside from my career aspects of things, socially i feel as though the changes made in june have started to effect now. i volentarily lost a good friend of mine after realizing that he was just bringing me down as a person, and that i need people n my life that push me to want more for myself.
Ironically enough, it is during the month of July that i met and found a new relationship with the people of CYS Clothing. CYS stands for many things: Chase Your Success being the more prominate slogan for this lifestyle apparel line. almost everyone associate with CYS has had a troubled past, but are now trying to turn their life around in a positive way. I feel like this is a good influence on me in the sense that their stories have inspired that fire benieth me to grow wild with color and depth. I'm realizing i am more than just someone who has an ear for music, but that i truly care about people and their struggles. i've also learned that i am quite the event cordinator as they have asked me to help plan and throw their next big event called Check Your Subs at which i will be DJ'ing along with the rest of their sponsered artists. i suppose it's a good feeling to have people depend on you, in a way, it motavates me to succeed not only for myself, but for the sake of the others that have invested trust and faith in me.
im not sure where August will take me, but for now, remember to Create Your Story, Cause You Should Chase your Success, Control Your Scandal, Count Your Stacks, and Check Your Subs.
