Spending this week studying microphones was really cool. I love learning the stuff I know will be essential for me to be a great producer.  Seeing how passionate my instructer is about mic's himself is an insperational sight.  We got to spend time in studio A and he demonstrated how the various mic's work by recording my voice with different mics, using some that required phantom power and others that did not. I also got to actually patch in the mics to the "patch bay" and adjust the pre-amp and actually doing it makes a huge difference in understanding..  Overall it was a great week and I'm looking foward to spending more time in the studio moving foward.
