Cool day at the studio. I brought in my guitar from home and Patrick showed me how to mic up a Fender cabinet. We used about 8 different mics so I could hear how each mic is unique and has different sounds from the others. We recorded a few chords and licks and used Pro Tools to hear everything. Patrick gave me a brief summary of what Pro Tools is and then we listened to each mic and noted the way each mic sounded. We then decided which mics sounded best for the type of sound we were going for and then called it a day.
