Met with Kyle the head engineer of the studio and he gave me some tips to minimize cpu useage in a session like clearing the clip list of unwanted and un unsed clips.  What we spent most of our time on that lesson was we compared a 6176 hardware unit to the BF76 plugin since I'm really interest in hardware.  Although I knew the difference wasnt going to be night and day I still found that I prefer hardware to plugins.  I really enjoyed the knobs (as we all do I assume) and I do like using real gear compared to plugins since I have that oppurtunity at the studio.  Overall it was really informtive lesson and really good meeting with Kyle.  Hope I can do it more often.
