Well I learned a good bit about digital recording today. I have been using an 11rack by avid before I started school. Wondered why there was a fuzzy noise when I let off the guitar and I'm pretty sure I got my answer. I liked this chapter tho , it's getting into more of the stuff I want to learn and use to my advanatge. I haven't looked ahead yet to see what the next chapter is but I know I'm almost knocking two out a week. I just want to be ahead in this school so I can focus on actualy recording. Sean the guy who is helping me learn gave be a lot of pointers and I feel was my best choice of studio to learn from. He gave me some stuff to practice every night as well. It's called "Golden Ears' . I would most def recomend checking it out if you havent already. You listen to many different types of freq and try to determine what hrtz it is . Like 64,125,250,500 and write down as you go on. Turns out my first try I only missed 1 out of 10 . I'm actually good at it lol. I"m told to practice it everynight for atleast 15 min . Thats easy cause its actually fun like a game . I also downloaded and app and made flip cards for pro tools command promts. I open it up and study daily to improve my speed with the program . I really hope all this pays off I'm working a full time job , being with my family , playing in a band and trying my best to pass this school with a 100 . Time for bed cause work in the am.
