In this chapter we discussed which mics would be better for what applications. We also discussed mono and stereo micing techniques including Distant/close/accent/ambient mono micing.. And spaced pair, Deccan tree, and X Y.. we went over how to mic specific instruments and how different parts of the instruments produce different tones. My mentor explained the delicacy of the ribbon mic at the studio the R84.
