All I can say about chapter 13 is wow! I wasn't aware how much just making a rough copy of a song can change the dynamic of it. It was really fun playing with different type of panning techniques, its crazy how much that alone can change the vibe on a song. I chose the psycological rap/hip-hop song and i found it really fun to move certain sounds from ear to ear to add to the already trippy vibe the song has. Through each chapter I feel like I'm progressing so much in understanding the balance needed in each track. I'm really getting to tap into creative parts of my brain that I didn't even know exist! My mentor heavily stressed that music is a balance and the engineers job is to find the right balnce for each track. I never really thought of music that way up to this point and it gave me a whole new perspective on what it is to be an engineer. As challenging as this program can be it is equally as exciting. Can't wait to learn more!
