Chapter 4 we did a deep dive into balanced and unbalanced cables. Unbalanced cables have single conductor shielded cable on shield. Balanced cables have two conductor shielded cable balanced audio cancel out noise out of phase with each other at the same time. A patch can be used to connect to a patch bay if working in multiple rooms. A patch bay serves two important functions. Provides a centralized hub where all analog audio connections can be made, and dictating the default signal flow of the studio. Many different variety of connector types and configurations. This chapter really took me for a spin but I'm pretty grounded now.
