I got to see some old school compressors as well as all the different plug in compressors and gates, etc. that were at Audible Images to start my lesson for chapter 14. This was super cool to see how different pieces of history were still used and how some things are the exact same on the software. Anyways we worked a lot with compressors and saw exactly when, how, and why to use them. We then took a muddy, junky snare sound and did all sorts of things like eq, gate, compresser and turned it to something that sounded super legit. The session with Ed the sax guy was also a blessing to listen to as usual.
