Sample rate (Hz) - number of samples taken per second

Bit depth- number of bits used to define the amplitude of each sample that determines the resolution 

Clipping- amplitude of the incoming electrical signal exceeds the maximum amplitude that can be expressed numerically, the digital signal will be a clipped-off version of the actual sound
