• Sound is made possible through vibration of air molecules 

• When discussing waveforms, frequency refers to perceived pitch of sound. 

• Fundamental frequency is the primary frequency of a sound. 

• Sound travels at roughly 755 miles per hour. 

• Psychoacoustics is the study of how the brain perceives sound. 

• Timbre refers to the harmonic frequency that makes up the sound of an instrument. 

• ADSR stands for attack, decay, sustain, release. 

• Amplitude is the measure of loudness and its measured in decibels.
