Major: Hip Hop Production

Born in the Bay Area on May 16th 1997, Tenoch Villa, aka BadTeeth started his path into music playing trombone in the middle school band. While he did enjoy it, it wasn\'t the ideal instrument for playing music from his favorite band Nirvana. At age 13, he saved up money to buy himself a bass to play in a cover band with his friends. Playing songs by Metallica, Nirvana, Black Sabbath, and a few original songs co written amongst the band.

Villa and the other band members all went to different high schools and the band eventually seperated due to lack of connection. Villa kept making music on his own learning to play guitar, and drums. He would write and recording his own songs influenced by Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains and acoustic ballads.

His senior year of high school, his older brother intoduced him to Childish Gambino. Donald Gover\'s rapping persona, which they became familiar with through Derrick Comedy and NBC\'s Community. This opened him up to listen to more hip hop. Listening to more rap his favorites being Tyler, the Creator, anderson .Paak, Action Bronson, Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D., Chance the Rapper, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, Mos Def, Kanye West, and Nas. Hip hop opened him to listen to how some producers would sample classic Soul and R&B songs, guiding him into listening to his granfathers vinys. Listening to the Four Seasons, Al Green, jazz guitarist Grant Green, Marvin Gaye, and the Isley Brothers.

Villa\'s influences help shape his unique production, rapping, and singing style that he shares with the world. His career is only starting but his possibilities are endless. He has collaborated with small acts from the Bay Area but recently moved to Portland, Oregon hoping to further his connections and expriences.
