This day we went over chapter 1 and 2. More than half of the time went to going over the first chapter. Chapter 2 didnt take as long since its not as lenghty. He also showed me an EQ. Told me the different settings depending in how you want it for. Its very interesting how the EQ can make sound like if you were outside of a concert or in your car. I told him that I am very interested in working an EQ. I know its the most basic and easiest thing to an engineer but its something I dont quite understand. Matt also showed me more examples that the chapter was talking about in real life studio. For example he showed me the difference between mono and stero. He mentioned that in big concerts. Since light travels faster than sound they actually delay the sound thats actually being played so all the layer of speakers sound at the same time otherwise the people in the front would being hearing a bassdrop before the people in the back. Very interesting cant wait to go back and learn even more.
