Chapter 2 : Basic Electronics Posted on 2016-07-28 by Austin Mullen

Summation Of What I Learned :

Electricity

  • All matter is composed of atoms.
  • An atom is comprised of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
  • The electron is said to be negatively charged and the proton is said to be positively charged.
  • Neutrons are neutral and have no charge.

Ive gone on to study and comprehend the depth of the correlation and sharing of electrons and protons based on the initial charge of the atom.

Resistance

  • Resistance depends on how thick and long the wire is.

  • Resistance is the measure of opposition to the flow of electricity measured in ohms.

  • voltage is the measure of the amount of electro motive force.

  • Current is measuresd in ampheres.

Electric Circuits

  • The word circuit is defined as a roughly circular line, route, or movement that starts and finishes at the same place.

Analog Circuits :

  • Electric circuits can be broken down into two major categories : Analog and digital.

Analog is the transmission of voltage, digital circuits transmit information.

In session two with my mentor we discussed how digital circuits play out in the real world, and how we most positively interact with basic electronic elements on a daily basis, Also how as audio engineers, electronics are a huge beneficiary to our career.
