This section is probably one of the most important to a beginner who is trying to recieve a job in recording engineering soon after schooling is finished. I took extensive notes on where musicians need to be placed in the room as well as where and what type of mics need to be used depending on the instrument, or the artist playing it. Futhermore mic selection and placement is also quite important when relating to the vocalist. depending on the notes they kill or the ones they suffer on you'll need to decide on a mic which fully allows their voice to flurish and sound crisp as can be. I can not wait to help my mentor Patrick plan, set up, test, and track artist. As a huge plus I also get to meet different artist and better understand their vibes behind their music.
