In week 12, the book covered the very basics of mixing and introducing the mixing project. In the studio Patrick introduced me to Logic. I have worked in Pro Tools and Ableton, but this was my first experience with Logic. We started a an electronic project and he ran me thru the basics of the DAW. I lso worked alongside Patrick to mix a couple of songs he wrote, produced, and recorded. Late last week I helped him to record a young man who had pop vocals and an accoustic guitar part. I really feel like things are coming together. I am really understanding Pat's mixing and recording techniques and I think he starting to notice my talents as well. Very cool week, and can't wait for next week!
