I just left the studio and I'm on bart in San Francisco going back to San Leandro. I was in the studio today tracking a band that made uplifting reggae music. They also had a rapper come in for vocals. Did I mention they recorded 5 songs in 6 hours?… I'm guessing they've been to Freq Lab before because the instruments had already been recorded. The rapper was going off the top on each song and the drummer also rerecorded some of the drum tracks. I also learned a method to prevent phase when setting up overhead mics on a drum set... They didn't leave w/ the finished product because they're still in the process of post-production, but they left happy (& that's all that matters). 

I don't have a lesson day Monday because it's presidents day, BUT it gives me more time to study. One more week until I get my m-box & Pro Tools 10 !!!
