All I could think about walking to the studio was "Call Recording Connection after your lession and let them know you're done with week 7 so they can send me Pro Tools 10 and a M-Box". During my lesson, Zack and I went over the SSL 9000J. He gave me an overview of the console and all I can say is there's a lot to be learned. During my intern day, there wasn't any session scheduled, but there was a meeting. An electronic music composer wanted to check out the studio so he could see what gear he would be working with. After the meeting, Brian (Zack's business partner) and I were listening to different types of music. I was also introduced to the movie Sound City (Which I bought) and a book titled "Recording the Beatles". I guess the book documents how each song was recorded with what microphone and microphone placement. Even though there wasn't a session, I always end up learning something in the studio.
