The first session with my mentor zack phillips didn't really go as planned. Being a beginner producer, i was already assuming that I would go into this first lesson with some basic background of what we would be talking about. It turns out that I barely knew anything and everything I am going to be learning is new material. We talked a lot about sound waves, different frequencies, decibel levels, and pretty much the basic structure of how sound works. This showed me that I have to be completely prepared for our sessions and be ready to retain new information. I can't wait!
