Now we're getting into the application, which is where the fun begins. This chapter gave me some great little tricks to try out next time I'm tracking. the idea of plotting things out visually is something I haven't tried. I also like the idea of using headphones to find where to mic the acoustic guitar. I will definitely be using these in my next session that requires it. 

In the studio this week we had a gospel artist come in to do a vocal session over a track he already had. When I say this was the most painless session I've ever been in, that would be an understatement. This guy came in and blew the doors off of the booth. We set him up with an AKG 414 and just let him go. In three takes this giuy had the song done. Amazing. There's talk of him coming in to do a full album which would be a dream.
