I know most people who are musically inclined may think hip hop/club beats with very lil instruments on them are easy to make. I would say yes it is but you gotta be a genius to make what some peple think is garbage to what many people be dancing to even without knowing or understanding the lyrics.
I lived in Asia for 4 years and bieng part of the club scene around that continent was amazing. I figured that the night clubs were packed mostly with locals and with a 98-110 BPM hip hop/club beat that has a lot of base, people don't need to know the lyrics. All they need to do is follow the rythm of the base line.
When I got back to the USA, I wanted to try something different and see if most people dance to the lyrics or the music. I ask my producer to make me a hip hop beat with that dirty south feel to it and a base that will drop your stomach. I took it to the studio and recorded but decided to spit in my native dialect from Cameroon. When the song was ready, I handed it to some DJ'S and it got spinned in some night clubs, people were dancing like crazy but did not know who was the artist and could not even understand the lyrics. This was just an experiment and now I'm going to use that beat for my EP but this time in English.
