This was another interesting session with my mentor because when I arrived the studio he and the assistant engineer Jason were mixing a song and they were trying to identify a problem that was in the mix. They ask me to be really quiet while they were doing it and also wanted me to listen to the song and to see if I could help identify the problem or odd sound. After listening to the song several time, my mentor and the assistant engineer  Jason found what the problem was. It was a clipping problem so my mentor and I talk about clipping and aliasing while they were trying to fix it. They  went back to every track and re adjust the amplitude of the vocals on that part and when it was played back, it sounded clean. My mentor said it was because the recording on that part of the  vocals had a high amplitude and had reach saturation point so much that it had to clip. After that, we talk about the different files and their formats and how important they are when transfering music. He recomended me to always use a WAV file format for most of my recordings and have my beats in tracks as it makes it easy for the engineer to work on a project.
