Last week after I did my lesson with my mentor I pulled up a song I was working on a mix on his Harrison console. When I brought it up one main comment he made was how the song had a boos in hi end. Since the Harrison eq you can do a lot of additive with out distortion I wasn’t really use to it. My mentor told me about how I should choose certain sounds to focus the mix on and you can make those shine and possibly make other element more dark. Another I had a problem on was panning since working on a analog console you have to send the left and right of stereo sounds to different channels. The Harrison Is a cool piece of equipment but has a lot of things I wish i had more time to play with so I am not really picking everything up about it once a week or so.
