This week has been pretty challenging.  I'm beginning to feel the struggle of working two jobs while trying to pursue this endeavour.  However, my mentor said something yesterday about how, for him, his passion has always pushed him through difficult times where he felt like quitting - so I'm trying to draw upon that from within myself.

I was having some difficulty with some of the concepts in the chapter this week, which was about digital audio.  However, after speaking with my mentor and reviewing the chapter, I think I have a pretty good grip on it - at least enough to know how to ask the right questions and/or connect the dots if I have more trouble later.  But overall, concepts like sampling rate and bit depth are fairly easy for me to wrap my head around; I think that understanding the conversion of analog to digital and vice-versa will be an ongoing learning process.

I think my primary challenge in the coming weeks will be adjusting to devoting as much time as possible to this program.  As I'm already working two jobs, trying to shove this into my schedule as well has proven to be exhausting and stressful - perhaps more than I originally thought.  However, I'm hoping that as time goes on I will be able to adapt and find the energy to get the most out of this program as I can.
