I was able to sit in on a few recording sessions last week, and I really enjoyed the experience. On Monday, we tracked vocals for a Texas country artist, and I was able to run ProTools for part of that session. On Wednesday when I went in, Anthony had me set up the drums in the live room and mic them up according to how I thought the mics should be placed, which was a way cool experience. After that, he had me set up the stage for the rest of the musicians that were coming in to track together. I had to mic up the amps, set up the Avioms, and create an input sheet. I learned a lot last week.
