Devin Hannesson — South Jordan Recording Connection
Hi, I'm Devin. I'm an apprentice of Bruce Kirby at Boho Digitalia in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was born in Winnipeg, Canada, and grew up in New Fairfield, CT. I'm now in South Jordan, Utah, looking to build my music career.
Music is my life. Not a day goes by that I don't jam out to something amazing. I'm truly thankful for being surrounded by music my whole life. I have strong memories of music growing up, from cleaning the house with my mom while listening to ABBA, to stepping out on the ice to Avenged Sevenfold in my high school hockey days.
I LOVE METALCORE!! Whatever you call it, metalcore, post-hardcore, deathcore, hardcore, whatever, I absolutely love it!!! I remember listening to The Crimson (Atreyu) and The Sound of Truth (As I Lay Dying), when I was an early teen, and I thought, 'Oh man, this is amazing, I've got to find more stuff like this!' Soon after I was introduced to some of my favorite bands, such as All That Remains, and The Devil Wears Prada.
My passion for audio began when I started attending local concerts. One of my friends played guitar in a local post-hardcore band, and he invited me to a show. It was phenomenal. I was hooked. I went to every concert I could get to. Pretty soon I started noticing imperfections at shows. The guitars were too loud, or the vocals were so quiet I couldn't hear them. It made me obsessed with audio, and now all I want to do is help bands achieve an absolutely amazing sound, whether it be in the studio, or in the live setting.
If you need someone to give your heavy band some amazing sound, let me know!
