On my first day i met with my mentor as well as everyone that works in the studio. i took a quick kind of common knowledge quiz and sadly i knew nothing. i felt a little down about that but everyone assured me it was ok not to know because it was all things we would be going over at some point. i then went with kenny and he showed me a few things in the studio as far as what certain cables and mics were used for. he spoke to me about the importance of live shows and we discussed my intentions for coming into the program as welll as some artist that we had a mutual respect for. i went with francis and he showed me how to properly wrap cables which i found to be suprisingly difficult. i had a little trouble with that but francis said it was ok and to keep practicing my technique. after that we went over everything that was in the first chapter so i could get a better understanding. it was a very productive first day and i felt comfortable and i'm ready to keep going.
