Tues April 1st. (Start time: 9:30am-Finish time: 8pm)
Today we recorded guitar tracks, bass tracks and vocal tracks with Emily Rowed and her guitar player. We tracked for two different tracks and did that all day. The songs were really good and her voice is super good and quite unique. We used a Neumann condenser clone mic for her vocals, it sounded great. We recorded his guitar with two Shure 57 mics and we plugged his bass straight in with a DI. This was a super awesome day, I really enjoyed the song writing and the music which makes the day that much more enjoyable!!
Friday April 4th. (Start time 12pm. Finish time 4pm)
Today I came in and helped on a session with a different engineer named Kenny Galvez. We recorded more keyboard and vocal tracks with Pennan Brae. I've been around for quite a bit of his sessions and it;s really awesome to hear these songs gain steam and get closer to being a finished product. They are sounding better and more full all the time. He writes interesting, catchy songs for sure...
