A quick mixing session with the DeLoreans.  I'm amazed at how fast John can get a mix sounding great.  Trying to keep track of eveything he does and why can be overwheling, but anytime i ask a question he slows down and explains exactley whats going on.  All parts were already recorded so this was just mixing.  The band had a couple of MIDI tracks that just didnt sound right so John went through and dialed in the sounds they were looking for.  There were 16 tracks that needed to be mixed so we were moving fast.  John showed me how to import the changes you make mixing from one session to another making mixing a whole album much faster.  Every song is different and needs its own flavor but if you can bring the bulk of the work over from another session then it leaves more time for creative elements.  This was a very informative mixing session and gave me some insite to mixing a group of songs together.
