Haylie McGill — Washington Recording Connection

I'm Haylie McGill. Currently living in Arlington, Virginia. Originally from Norfolk, Virginia I've lived there my whole life. I'm 19 years old. Music has always been my passion and the only thing I have had the drive to succeed in. I've always loved music, at the age of 13 I picked up a guitar and taught myself how to play. Since then I haven't been able to put it down nor have I stopped learning. At 16 I acquired a ukulele and taught myself how to play that. I'm always interested in learning new music and fiddling around with anything I can get my hands on that produces sound. I've done musical theater since I was 6 years old and have had professional training in voice. But over time I realized music more than the acting was my passion. In November after putting countless Youtube videos and audio clips on my blog and the internet after getting so much positive feedback I tried my hand at making a demo in my room on my 8 inch computer screen using Audacity. Though not the greatest I accomplished it and was able to make some profit from my followers online. I'd really like to be a better songwriter because as of now most of my music is covers. I really enjoy behind the scenes as well as being an artist. To watch a track take on a lifeform of it's own over time is an amazing thing. Every little piece is a vital piece of the puzzle. And I love every part of it.  I hope to learn as much as I can in the program in hopes to be working in a recording studio making that music happen with other artists as well to work on my own progress in music.
