Todd came in today to work on my 4 songs that I wanted to get started. But before he got there I decided that the songs feel and BPM weren't what I envisioned so I quickly re-tracked a couple songs, and lowered the key of another song, and changed it around a little to make it more performable. Then Todd arrived, and he never got to listen to the mixes I sent him anyways, so it didn't matter that I changed them. We sat him down at the set which I miked during the day, and checked the levels quickly. Soon after we listened to the songs, and Todd and I worked together to get some incredible takes for the first couple songs. We took 3 takes of all 4 songs beginning to end, and that was all I needed. In the last song I told him I wanted a big drum solo in the end, and everything worked out unbelievably well, and I was very pleased with the over all performance. I am going to spend all night working on the edits now for the drums it's going to sound amazing after!
