Today I was lucky enough to have my favourite band in Winnipeg (Sweet Alibi) come in and work with me for my final mix production for RRFC second mix. The three unbelievably talented girls came in can Jess, the lead singer, presented her song Dark Train. In the 5 hours we had, we tracked her acoustic guitar, 2 electric guitar parts, drums, and a vocals. They had a full 24 track mix within 5 hours, and it sounded great even though it wasn't edited. I was really impressed by their performance, and I thanked them again and again for giving me the opportunity to work with them. I was super excited because I have a couple of their albums and I love their work so much. I was blown away by the quickness of the session, and the fact that I did everything by myself. Len looked at it as a final practicum, and he stayed away the whole time to give me the idea that it's the real world now, and then I'm the only one I can count on. It was an amazing experience.
