Going into the studio this time i was much more confident i knew quite a bit more than the last time and am picking it up very quickly. I went in on wednesday to go over chapter 4 and a little bit of 5 with my mentor. After going over chapter 4 with me he told me that there was an upcoming session that he wanted me to come to. On friday night i made the trip up to the city to watch the session go down. I have to say it was one of the coolest experiences of my life, even though the artist was over an hour late. I watched Tom as he recorded the 'hook' then move on to the verses, then to the 'stabs' and ad libs. But in 2 hours they had 2 professionally recorded songs that I watched my mentor record, rerecord, edit and put on to a cd. I am very excited to go back tomorrow and find out when the next session is that i can come and sit in on is.
