After reading Lesson two I went to Rax Trax for a lesson on soldering. We took apart an XLR cable and I learned how to test for where the power issue was. Once we diagnosed the malfunction then we proceeded to solder!

We also talked about electricity in terms of setting up pedals correctly, and how to be safely creative with voltage. We listened to an example of a distortion pedal being starved for power but boosted which was really cool.

During this lesson we also started going of the console and I learned more about the layout of monitoring and channels on the board. I saw how the matrix at the top of the console was relevant to recording into protools as well as a breif overview on the patch board.
