On Thursday, January 18, the first day at the studio was awesome. My mentor worked on a 15 second ad for the Texas Rangers mixing sound effects. Afterwards, he and I went to help setup an audio system at a remodeled community center, and it was awesome helping the community out in a way. The next day, I saw an voice over recording for a Gamestop ad that featured the voice director Joey Googe, directing the voice actor Michael Greeco, and thought was crazy on how great both those guys were and how they got started in the business. After that was done, Jake allowed me to work on Pro Tools on a radio ad for Baylor, and for my first time mixing with voice over and music, it turned out fairly well. Looking forward to next week.
