This past week I was able to sit in a studio session with a metal band. They covered "Danger Zone" which was pretty cool seeing it turned into metal. I practiced setting up microphones for drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. Then I sat at the sound board with my mentor and observed how everything else came to be in the Pro Tools session.
