About Bryan
Born and raised in Connecticut, this is where it all started. Music is something I love whether I'm making new music or just going through my iTunes, it's a huge influence on me.
I recorded my first song in the 8th grade under the name "B Welles" and it has stuck ever since. I like to be more personal when it comes to music. Changing my name completely and having something like "The Prophet" as my stage name just wouldnt work haha. I'm proud of who I am and what I've accomplished thus far so no need to change something that is ME.
As music picked up it soon turned from a hobby to something I could see myself doing for a career. I was fortunate enough to be involved in a contest hosted by the Artist MIMS in April of 2011. The contest had 5 songs with a blank verse, I submitted my entry and mine was selected to be put up on iTunes. The next step was to promote and sell the song. Through out my couple months of spamming the iTunes link I was approached by Vezzy Parmasan, a DJ for Connecticuts local radio station Hot 93.7 at the time. He than spun the record during his mix which gave my name a lot of buzz.
The only way to go from there was forward, I began doing small shows and continued dropping music through social networking sites, FaceBook, Twitter, Youtube anything I could find. Thats still how I drop most of my music today!
I track and mix all my music. Self taught basically. Many long days and nights of trial and error paid off. I think being able to do so helps me out a lot.
I have also gained the privilege of being an apprentice in a professional recording studio under my mentor RT at the Planet of Sound Studio in Hartford, Connecticut.
Like many, I have been through ups and downs. Some of which have helped, followed by some that hurt me. I learn from things of that nature. I remember sitting with my Vice Princepal like it was yesterday, she told me I wouldn't make it in music and to pick a better occupation. Being told I can't is like fuel for me. Although to prove those who have said that wrong isn't on my list of to dos, being happy doing something I love is. I guess proving those wrong is a plus here and there haha
I love all my supporters and I love to be able to reach out and thank them. Nobody can see your vision like you can, passion is something the hate can't change
