Compressors are simple to imagine the use in action, but a little bit harder to actually make the use happen. We played with a few different compressors on a kick and a snare. We used it to keep bleed out of the seperate drum parts. Then we used one on the vocals of one of the practice sessions. When we were done, the mumbling in the verses were clear and pronounced. I'm starting to see the challenge in deciding where the best balance really is.
