Pedro HernandezNew York City Recording Connection

Major: Recording

My name is Pedro Hernandez; I was born on November 9, 1975, in Worcester MASS. I’m currently employed by the New York City Dept. of Education. At the age of seven I started guitar lessons and was not intrigued by the guitar and that did not end well. By the age of 8, I was playing the drums at my grandfather’s church, and that lasted to the age of 16, where I found what is now my main instrument, the piano. As years passed by I was involve in amateur bands around NYC. At the age of 27, I was able to land my first professional engagement at Hope Church New York as a music director where I have the privilege of working with the most incredible staff and musicians. As a music director I’m able to interact with people that love music, the arts, and community. I have learned so much throughout the year and feel that I am ready for the next season in my life.

Now I have the chance to become more than a music director or just the keyboard player, and become the recording engineer that I always wanted to be. I Finally enrolled in the RRF.
