I was born & raised in Modesto, CA, graduated from Fred C. Beyer High School in 2013, & moved to Oakland, CA in March of 2015.  I was by no means raised in a musical household.  My father allowed no instruments in the house when we were kids & instead pushed for sports & good grades.  It wasn't that he was against music, he just wouldn't support me nor my brothers in it.  In spite of that, I devloped a passionate love for music & it grew with me, but my only way to exercise that passion was in listening & studying.  By studying, I mean the artists themselves: their backgrounds, their anticks, creative methods, etc.

After graduating high school I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life.  I knew I loved music but I had no personal musical talents.  So I asked myself "Ho could I find work in music; something I love so dearly, yet know so little about?"  I looked for weeks at different music industry jobs & schools to partake in, with no hep from family or friends, I relied on the internet.  I came accross the Recording Connection in my searching & was hooked.  I spent almost two years working two jobs in order to save money to pay for school, & finally moved to Oakland to begin my apprenticeship.

I am very excited to finally be taking this opportunty & plan to make a career out of Audio Engineering, but I don't want to limit myself.  I'm open to new ideas & different paths I can take upon completion of the program: film applications, live sound, producing, the possiblities are endless.

A little about myself: I am a fan of Greek philosophy & believe in bettering oneself mentally, physically, & emotionally.  I am currently taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lessons, I have a record collection, ride a motorcycle, love anime (Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya) & smoke a pipe (tabacco).  I like to be different & kind of make it a personal goal to stray away from the norm in favor of authenticity.  I appreciate all kinds of music & cultures, so don't be surprised if I ask you about yours.

The Socratic Dilema: the wisest among us know we know nothing.  With that in mind, I am a student of the world.  If you have anything to teach me, I am all ears, for I know I have something to learn from everyone.
