My mentor and I went through the textbook and he answered al of my questions on balanced and unbalanced audio, all the different types of cables and what they are useful for, and patch bays. 

after going through all of my questions he had me patch in a microphone into a pre amp to pro tools break it down then set back up again and i had to explain what i was doing thoroughly. 

and just like that 2 hours went by and it was time to go. Before i left we went into the A room and he showed me a huge shelf of patch bays and what the inside of a patch bay looked like. Prior to our good byes we talked about what time i should arrive this friday for my first session.
