Human ear translate and multiply the frequency being heard at a particular ratio, we can as well call the condition ‘musical octave ‘therefore the frequency between the cycle are multiply by two e.g. if concert X is 440 (HZ) concert Y will be 880 (HZ) this is called EVEN HARMONICS which are said to be sound made to be pleasant to the ears… while ODD HARMONICS are dissonant or harsh to he ears…
