Lesson 11

Basic plugin information

We have gone over plugins many times before, but this is the first time the book has addressed it in a lesson. A plugin is processing software that can add a signal suchas reverb, compression, and autotune. We spend a lot of time on compression because it is a heavily used plugin and it is important to keeping levels under a certain point. Also it can be used as prevention from overloading a speakers by keeping the volume from peaking past the equipments threshhold. there are many plugins that we will tackle as time goes on!
