Surround Mixing

Surround mixing involves 6 speakers. We went over all the speakers and where they are placed and why in a surround sound setting. After that, the lesson focused on CD replication and duplication. We watched a video on a professional company that made albums for large projects. I also learned about the different products an album can be mastered to, such as analog tape, DAT, CDR, or removable hard drive. I spent the rest of the day working on a bands session i had been mixing for the past couple of months!
