Self investment -Blog 1 Posted on 2011-12-27 by Divan Henson

I would like to talk about how artist and producers should remember that self investing plays a big part in your music career. As a producer good self investments are your Sounds, Graphic designs, also your own website to promote your work. By investing in yourself you are in control on how far u would like to take your career to the next level. Growing up i always heard if u want quality u have to pay for it. So i bought me a nice keyboard and some good speakers to elevate my sound. Their were time when I would spend my last 300 dollars for some studio monitors. I didn't want to but i felt as thon i had to if i would want to reach my goal. As artist self investment come to u as purchasing your own beats instead of going around to every hot producer and asking for free beats. If u think about it their is no investment in free beats. Even if the producer does give u the track 9 times out of ten that producer is expecting a check for his hard work some where later down that line. So nothing is free in this industry. If u asking for free tracks because you dont pay for beats than nobody is gonna take u serious as a artist. You have to grind hard and prove your self. that you can be the best. Instead of going the cheap route and booking one hour of studio time, why not just invest in yourself and book the whole day. If u don't have enough just save it until u got it you would appreciate tour work much more than just one hour of a bunch of rushed material. Its all about self investment in yourself to get where you would like to be.
