Ive only been in school one week but so far so good. I was already familiar with some of the information from just being in the studio environment recording my own albums but now that Im looking to become an audio engineer, the text in chapter one gave me a more indepth understanding of it all. I became more aware of how important it is protect my hearing for the long run. I hadnt thought of how sensitive the ear drums could be and because we're in the business of sound, our livelyhood revolves around our ability to hear as best we can. I also found it interesting that the shape of the wave form dictates their tone and over all sound. I gained a more indepth perspective and understanding of how frequency works and just how different mono vs stero can make your listening experience. I enjoyed touring the studio and seeing the difference between each room's setup based on what type of artist or group would be recoding there. Im looking forward to everything thats to come.
