This was my second remote session with Brian from the recording connection. We used team viewer and Brain took my computer over. (kinda creepy actually!) I was working on a mix already so we went ahead and discussed that. Brain should me all the things that were talked about in the weeks lesson. We place compression on some of the tracks. Brain talked about the different aspects of knee, range, gain and so forth. Later we set up some side chain compression on the kick drum and set thresholds that would produce a 80hz sound every time the kick drum was hit. I went on after the conversation to do the same with the snare drum. However instead of using the signal generator, I used the white noise function. We chatted a bit more about the music business itself and that was everything for the time allowed.
