Jeremy DupliseaCalgary Recording Connection

remote session 4 and 5 Posted on 2013-10-20 by Jeremy Duplisea

Brian and I and have been continuing to work with protools and the recording I completed for the Crook Art.  We have discussed many different approaches to mixing and how each mix sounds in comparison to each other.  We have talked about and Brian has showed me, how to use compression, how to gate a snare and kick drum.  We have discussed ducking and elastic audio process.  Also I have ask brains advise in the finding a job aspect of audio engineering.  Talking with Brian is great, because he gives me the ideas that I can make it in the music business, and brain gives me praise for being on time and having a good attitude.  All these things we have done together have helped me grow as a engineer and as a person in general.

Brain has shared with me his story of all the work he has done and the road which lead him to work with the recording connection.  I feel I will have to take a leap of faith and get down to L.A.. so I can excel at my chosen profession.
