So my mentor has trusted me to go to a fund raiser and do the sound for the live entertainment.
It went really well there were two singers and a guitar player. I had to hook up the DI box to the guitar and into the proper channel. I also had to hook up two cordless microphones and place them into the proper channel.
It went really well. I was able to place the correct reverb effect on the vocals to make them sound great.
The entertainment and speeches lasted about four hours. Afterwards I cleaned everything up rolling all the cords and wires.
I really enjoyed doing live music, I hope that I will be able to do more of these, but with more instruments that will challenge my knowledge a little more.
This friday I am going with my mentor to a local school to record their band. I went with him last year to do this and I learnt alot, however I think with my knowledge base being a little bit bigger this time I will be able to take more from this experience.
Next month I will be going with my mentor and one of his clients to do a live show. I look forward to this, I'm really enjoying my time learning more and more each day.
